Catherine & Gareth’s reception was held in the picturesque surroundings of The Errigal House Hotel, Cootehill Co. Cavan.  Family is obviously very important to both Catherine & Gareth, so the place was buzzing with excited family members about the festivities that lay ahead.  The speeches were so touching that they had most women ( & I bet a few men) rummaging for that spare tissue.  As Catherine’s Dad talked about the love he felt for his little girl when he first laid eyes on her, the day she was born, I struggled to contain my grip on the camera and not dissolve into a blubbering mess.  Gulp!  Poor Catherine, the men with the microphones on that day were determined to test her waterproof mascara to it’s absolute!

Catherine had given me the heads up that the Kieran & Mc Connon families are serious about their dancing, and as soon as the band struck up . . . I was left in no doubt.  The dance floor was a mecca of dancing genius! I witnessed a professional level of jiving & waltzing, that left me thinking . . . uh oh . . . I really need to learn how to do that.. . Properly!  There wasn’t a beat missed, a knee knocked or a twirl not caught.  I was mighty impressed!  Gareth’s family & the English guests, not to be outdone, were right in the middle of it, and giving the Irish a run for their money.  Isn’t that what weddings are all about?

Thanks to Catherine, Gareth & their families for allowing me to play a little part in their very special day.  I hope you enjoy the teeny tiny snapshot that the blog gives you. Catherine & Gareth have the full pictorial glory all to themselves 🙂
