When I got the invite to Kelley & Barry’s wedding, I thought; “this is going to be an amazing wedding to photograph”. I wasn’t wrong, so make yourself comfortable, because this is another bumper blog post. Kelley & Barry are friend’s of Mr Treanor and I, and knowing their sense of humour and “will try anything attitude”, was a huge advantage for me. Kelley is very easy going, and in the preparations coming up to the wedding, she mentioned to me that she didn’t really enjoy being in front of the camera and herself and Barry wanted wedding photographs that were fun, relaxed and not very traditional. Well . . . that is just my perfect shopping list. I love when a bride needs a little coaxing to look into the camera, as I know when I get “that shot”, that she will be just delighted with the results. Kelley was absolutely stunning on her wedding day, and I have so many of “that perfect shot” images, that I can only show you a sample. As it turns out, even though Kelley & Barry might not seek out the camera, the camera definitely likes them. In fact, I think it likes them a whole lot 🙂
Kelley & Barry are keen sportspeople and throughout their day, they integrated elements of their sports interests. We had; Camoige dancing, O’ Neills footballs and even football boots! Barry Cuddy is from Truagh. As you might know, I also married a fellow truagh native. The Truagh boys have a very distinctive sense of humour, so, I was very excited about the speeches at this wedding. I finally understand most of the knick names, and the stories behind various throw away comments, and the wedding speeches were hugely entertaining. I have no shortage of photographs where people are throwing their head back in laughter and tears streaming down their face. Barry Cuddy is funny. Very funny. Barry has a truly genuine & kind manner and it was obvious to everybody at this wedding, that he thinks the world of Kelley, his new wife; Mrs Cuddy.
Kelley had the idea of going for a some photographs the morning after their wedding. I was very excited about this. I had the luxury of photographing the new Mr & Mrs Cuddy, with their “newly married glow” and without the time contraints of a normal wedding day schedule. Wait until you see the results!! At the end of this post, I have a few images from the day after shoot . . . just to tease you!
So . . . I suggest you go grab yourself a cup of tea, a chocolate biscuit and sit back and enjoy this snapshot of when Kelley & Barry said : I do! x
and then we had the next day . . .
